MessageSetString Method (String, String)

Changes the string value of the field identified by fieldName to the supplied value.

Parameters

fieldName
Type: SystemString
The name of the field.
value
Type: SystemString
The new string value of the field.
Exceptions
ExceptionCondition
InvalidOperationException If the Message has no Layout, or if the required field is not defined in the Layout of the Message.
Remarks

If value is null the sequence is filled with the special character NO-DATA (0x1A).

This method has the same effect as calling SetString(fieldName, 0, value).
