MessageIsNull Method (String)

Returns true if the value of the field identified by Name is NULL.

Parameters

fieldName
Type: SystemString
The name of the field.

Return Value

Type: Boolean
true if the value of the field identified by Name is NULL.
Exceptions
ExceptionCondition
InvalidOperationException If the Message has no Layout, or if the required field is not defined in the Layout of the Message.
Remarks

A field value is said to be NULL if it's first character is the special character NO-DATA (0x1A).

This method has the same effect as calling IsNull(fieldName, 0).
